Look, this thing has been getting very frustating.

I have 5 iso images of SUSE 10.
I DONT wanna burn the cds.

So i plugged out the kernel and initrd from the first iso and put in into the grub using GRUB for NT.

So it shows up very nicely. And when i boot , the manual installation starts up.

It says "Load Modules","Start Installation " and all that stuff.

1) So i take start instalation from hard disk. It says select the partition and so i do. It says enter the directory and i enter the full path of the first iso. Fantastic. A progress bar comes up and says loading somethin. Then the installation starts up and i am very happy. Then when i choose everything, it says could not find package source at hd://suse/whatever path device=/dev/hda1 and all that. So this plan failed.

2) Okay i set up an ftp server on another comp and copied contents of all cd's in to the folder. I start the ftp installation with all my modules loaded and then i enter the ip and the folder name
. AGain the progress bar comes up and the installation starts.

Again when it comes to start installation it says No package source found at ftp://172.16.52.48/suse/

and now it is getting really frustating.
Please someone help[ me out.

hey thanks for the reply.

But thats not the point. My internet connection is very slow. The initial progress bar requires 67 Mb og data. It would take me a lot of time to get that. I already have all the data with me.

Plz tell me some other method. Remember that i already have an incoomplete 9.1 install in one of my partitions. So tell me some other methos not involving downloading all the stuff. Plz.

then your entering the wrong "path" for the source you want to use...... I can't tell you what that would be as I don't know the path your needing to use.......
